It’s Stir Up Sunday! What’s that you say? Well it’s the last Sunday before Advent, and if you’re British that means it’s the day that tradition would have you make your Christmas Puddings. Join our two resident Brits, Kathryn & Elyse, for a walk (and a talk) through making this very British dessert, using Kathryn’s family recipe. Ingredients for Christmas Pudding*: raisins, currants, sultanas, mixed peel, self-raising flour, beef suet (or can use vegetarian suet), brown sugar, breadcrumbs (freshly made with slightly stale white bread), blanched almonds, mixed spice, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, lemon, black treacle (or use molasses), rum, brown ale stout (Guinness or similar), eggs, salt

Ingredients for Brandy Butter*: unsalted butter, sugar (granulated, icing or soft brown), brandy, salt

* Please note that we will be discussing potential substitutions for ingredients during your class.

Class Fee: $20.00 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device). What’s Included: A 60 minute virtual cooking class including a virtual recipe pack with info on equipment needed. Our recipes are distributed manually. If you sign up within 24 hours of your class time, you may not receive the recipe in advance. We will attach it in Zoom Chat at the start of your class. Please use the ingredient list above to shop for your class.

Software Requirement: We are using Zoom for our virtual classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS hereUpon purchase, your meeting ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

We use Zoom for our online classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here.

Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID, which will be sent to you by email with your recipes.
