Join our Indian culinary expert Aditya Raghavan for his virtual cooking class on Butter Chicken and Naan. Together with Addie you’ll learn how to prepare Butter Chicken, with chicken legs that you start on the grill, or under your broiler. Your online cooking class will include Addie’s version of Butter Chicken, garnished with crispy chicken skins, and Naan cooked in a cast iron pan then finished with garlic and butter.

Class Fee: $40.00 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device).

Your Fee Includes: A 2 hour cooking class; a recipe pack including info on equipment needed; 7 day access to a recording of your class (you can extend your access to 30 days for an additional $5).

Upon purchase, your Zoom meeting link plus ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

Our recipes are distributed manually. If you sign up within 24 hours of your class time, you may not receive the recipe before the class starts. A summary of ingredients required follows:

Ingredients, Aditya Raghavan’s Butter Chicken*: 4 chicken legs (bone-in), ginger, garlic, lime, turmeric powder, mustard oil (or you can use cold-pressed canola oil, or another cooking oil), Kashmiri chili powder, Greek yogurt, cinnamon, mace floret, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, Kashmiri red chilis, red onion, unscented oil (grapeseed or canola), black cardamom, chicken stock, whole tomatoes, tomato paste, cashews, whipping cream, kasuri methi (fenugreek leaves), butter, green chilis, cilantro.

Ingredients, Cast Iron Garlic Naan*: all purpose flour, baking soda, plain yogurt, oil, garlic, cilantro.

* We will be discussing potential substitutions for ingredients during your class

We use Zoom for our online classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here.

Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices, camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID and Password, which will be sent to you in your Event Confirmation.
