Join our resident Brits Kathryn and Elyse for our virtual cooking class on how to make Cornish Pasties. Filled with a combination of steak, onions, potatoes and rutabaga, Cornish Pasties are a regional classic in the UK. Paired with our homemade Quick Piccalilli Relish you can eat them hot from the oven, or keep them for tomorrow’s lunch!

Class Fee: $40.00 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device).

Your Fee Includes: A 2 hour cooking class; a recipe pack including info on equipment needed; 7 day access to a recording of your class (you can extend your access to 30 days for an additional $5).

Upon purchase, your Zoom meeting link plus ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

Our recipes are distributed manually. If you sign up within 24 hours of your class time, you may not receive the recipe before the class starts. A summary of ingredients required follows:

Ingredients, Cornish Pastiesall-purpose flour, lard, unsalted butter, eggs, 400g flank steak, onion, rutabaga, yellow (Yukon gold) potato.

Ingredients, Quick Piccalilli Relishred pepper, carrots, shallots, baby onions, cauliflower, red chillies, extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, white wine, ground ginger, turmeric, mild curry powder (such as Madras), sugar, bay leaves, green beans, cornstarch, zucchini, grainy or English mustard, Italian flat leaf parsley.

We use Zoom for our online classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here.

Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices, camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID and Password, which will be sent to you in your Event Confirmation.
