Virtual Cooking Class: Fresh Pasta Basics

Join Kathryn for her introductory virtual cooking class on Fresh Pasta Basics and learn how to make our simplest egg pasta dough, made from just whole eggs and flour. You’ll learn how to roll and cut your Fresh Pasta into Tagliatelle and while your pasta dough is resting you’ll make a Pesto alla Genovese, to serve with your Tagliatelle. And of course your online cooking class will include learning how to cook, sauce and serve the pasta that you’ve made as well.

Class Fee: $35.00 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device).

Your Fee Includes: A 1.5 – 2 hour cooking class; a recipe pack including info on equipment needed; 7 day access to a recording of your class (you can extend your access to 30 days for an additional $5).

Upon purchase, your Zoom meeting link plus ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

Our recipes are distributed manually. If you sign up within 24 hours of your class time, you may not receive the recipe before the class starts. A summary of ingredients required follows:

Ingredients, Fresh Pasta*: “00” flour (or all-purpose flour), large eggs

Ingredients, Pesto all Genovese*: fresh basil leaves, extra-virgin olive oil, pine nuts (you can substitute with sunflower seeds), garlic, Parmesan, Pecorino Romano, lemon juice

To Serve: new potatoes, green beans, parmesan

* We’ll be discussing potential substitutions for ingredients during your class.

We use Zoom for our online classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here.

Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices, camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID and Password, which will be sent to you in your Event Confirmation.
