Join Kathryn for this virtual cooking class and learn how to make her favourite Thai appie, Shrimp Cakes with a quick Thai Pickle. During your class you’ll learn some essential knife skills as you chop your aromatics, then you’ll pound them in a mortar and pestle to combine with shrimp, or white fish, that you’ve blitzed in a food processor. Finally you’ll deep fry your spiced up seafood cakes and serve them with a tangy quick pickle of carrot, cucumber and shallot. NOTE: a granite mortar and pestle and a food processor are essential equipment for this class.
Class Fee: $30.00 plus GST (pricing is per device and allows multiple participants to attend using a single device).
Your Fee Includes: A 60 – 90 minute cooking class; a recipe pack including info on equipment needed; 7 day access to a recording of your class (you can extend your access to 30 days for an additional $5).
Upon purchase, your Zoom meeting link plus ID and password will be included in your Event Confirmation email – please be sure to save this information as you will need it to join your class.

We use Zoom for our online classes. If you aren’t already using Zoom you can download their free app for Windows, Mac, Android or Apple iOS here.
Once downloaded Zoom will help you set up your free account then you’re ready to join us. Zoom will prompt you and ask for permission to use your devices, camera and audio, please accept the requests. Once logged in click “Join” from the home page and enter your Meeting ID and Password, which will be sent to you in your Event Confirmation.
