Meet
Zach Eaton
Zach has worked in the restaurant industry for nearly 20 years, starting out as a dishwasher when he was 15 then working his way through an array of different kitchen positions before he decided to formalise his culinary education at NAIT in 2014. Since graduating from NAIT, he has worked as a prep cook, baker, and sous chef before landing at Tryst as the Head Chef and Co-Owner.
Zach has a passion for combining flavours and techniques from around the world, and a particular affinity for “doughy things” like breads, tortillas, pasta and pizza. He is a self-proclaimed food nerd who loves to learn the why and how of food, and a huge fan ofcooking with local ingredients and eating at local restaurants.
Outside of the kitchen Zach loves spending time with his family, lifting weights, and being a bit of a homebody. He likesto dabble in all kinds of hobbies, the most recent being thrift shopping.
