We're excited to welcome Peter Zukiwski of Pitt County BBQ for our inaugural class on Northern Carolina style whole hog BBQ. Peter will be setting up his pig cooker and demonstrating how to barbecue a whole pig, Northern Carolina Style. We'll start the night with an intro to whole hog BBQ, then we'll get you shucking oysters for your appie, before we cook up a batch of Deep Fried Okra, and show you how to make Pepsi & Peanuts for your second course of the night. Then to go with our BBQ pork, we'll also be mixing up a batch of Corn Bread and a Slaw. We'll be pouring a flight of SYC Brewery's locally brewed beers through the course of the night, and finishing off with a very Southern Banana Pudding. Your experience includes your meal and SYC Beer pairings. An additional menu of wines, beers and cider is available for purchase on the night.

Join Chef Owner Kathryn Joel for an evening of Greek cooking, as we prepare a delicious menu inspired by the traditional dishes served in Greek homes, with a touch of taverna flair. We’ll start with Cheese Saganaki, flambéed with a splash of ouzo, followed by a classic Greek Salad. For our main course, we’ll be making Moussaka—a beloved Greek dish of layered aubergine, spiced lamb and béchamel—served with Horta Vrasta: seasonal greens simply boiled and dressed with olive oil and lemon. We’ll finish with Greek yoghurt topped with walnuts and honey, the perfect sweet end to our weeknight feast.
Join Chef Owner Kathryn Joel for our in-person Hamburger Masterclass, and learn how to make all the fixings for the ultimate homemade burgers, from scratch. Working in pairs, you'll bake a batch of brioche burger buns, finished with sesame seeds, to enjoy during class and take some home too. Then you'll grind your own meat and shape your burgers, choosing to BBQ or pan sear them—or even try your hand at Smash Burgers. We’ll also fry up a batch of crispy fries and make quick pickles to round out your burger feast.
