Join our star baker Larry Harris and learn to make his version of a classic Black Forest Cake. Together with Larry you'll make your chocolate cake batter then pour it into prepared tins to bake in your oven. While your cakes are baking then cooling you'll prep some freshly whipped cream and a homemade cherry filling, and learn to shave chocolate for finishing your cake too. Then you'll put it all together as you learn to decorate your cake, with Larry's pro tips and expertise to encourage and inspire you!

Ingredients, Chocolate Cake: unsalted butter, black brewed coffee or black tea, cocoa powder, bittersweet chocolate callets (70%), brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, cake and pastry flour, baking soda, kosher salt
Ingredients, Cherry Kirsch Syrup: Kirschwasser (krisch) (optional), granulated sugar, syrup from Amarena Cherries
Ingredients, Cream Frosting and filling: whipping cream, icing sugar, vanilla extract, Amarana Cherries, cherry syrup

Join Kathryn Joel for her introduction to Filled Pastas and learn to make our egg yolk enriched fresh pasta dough, perfect for achieving light and delicate filled pastas. Then together we'll make two different filled pastas with sauces. We'll begin with an easy Ravioli, filled with Winter Squash and served with a Parsley & Walnut "Pesto" Sauce. Next we'll prepare Swiss Chard & Ricotta filled Tortelloni, served with a deliciously simple Brown Butter & Sage Sauce. We do hope that you'll join us for this tasty hands-on class.
