Meet
Tiffany Sorensen
Tiffany grew up in the kitchen, and living in a single parent household taught her to be resourceful in the kitchen and developed her passion for cooking. Tiffany’s first job at the age of 14 was in a restaurant, which really solidified her passion and wish to become a chef. She graduated from NAIT’s Culinary Arts Program in 2011, and was on NAIT’s Culinary Team from 2010-2011, having competed and won medals in both Dubai and Hong Kong. After graduating from NAIT, Tiffany received her Red Seal
designation, and went on to work at various restaurants around Edmonton.
Tiffany felt like something was missing and left the restaurant industry to cook at a local youth houseless shelter. Here she enjoys making cooking accessible for all by sharing her knowledge of food sustainability, life skills, and her love of food with the youth and staff. Tiffany focuses on gardening, working through food trauma, and honouring different cultures and food practices through education and cultural meals.
She stays creative by casually catering on the side, food coaching sessions through Bea Riveter Consulting, and most recently, joining the team at Get Cooking. In her spare time, Tiffany can be found playing board games, cuddling with her dog Henry, and paddling on the river.
