Our Friday night Chef's Table classes are perfect for a date night, time out with friends or for flying solo! Join Kathryn Joel for a taste of Palestine and start your night with a Chopped Arabic Salad for your arrival appie. Then you'll gather around our chef's table as you learn to make Warm Hummus from scratch, topped with meatballs or eggplant and served with homemade Pita Bread. Next we'll learn to prepare Sayyadieh, a deliciously spiced and fragrant combination of basmati rice with seafood, caramelized onions and fragrant spices. Translated as Fisherman's Catch or Dish, Sayyadieh is reminiscent of Paella though decidedly different. (We can substitute pan-fried Haloumi for the seafood if you prefer a vegetarian diet). Your Get Cooking Chef’s Table experience includes your welcome drink, appetizer and dessert, and a meal of what we cook. A curated menu of wines, beers and mocktails is available for purchase on the night. (DIETARY CONSIDERATIONS: THIS CLASS CAN BE ADAPTED FOR VEGETARIAN DIETS UPON REQUEST)

If you choose to use our knives you’ll be using 8-inch Henckel chefs’ knives, but we invite you to bring your own knives along if you’d prefer. During your class, we’ll be focusing on the following basic skills: slicing and chopping onions and shallots; puréeing garlic; tomato concassé; chiffonade of leafy herbs; how to dice, slice and julienne vegetables; peeling round fruits; and segmenting citrus fruits. And as if all of that is not enough, while you’re busy chopping and slicing, we’ll also be whipping up a hearty slice of Bruschetta, a Chopped Middle Eastern Salad and a satifsfying bowl of French Onion Soup to enjoy before we send you home, armed with the knowledge and skills required to wield your knives with greater confidence and finesse on your own. NOTE: Attendance is limited to just 8 participants for this 100% handson class.
