Join Chef Owner Kathryn Joel in-person for this seasonal class featuring a menu of Truffled Squash Soup, Beef Wellington and Red Wine Poached Pears. Beef Wellington is a French classic, and simple to prepare once you know how. Served with buttered Savoy Cabbage, Celeriac Purée and a Red Wine Sauce, our Beef Wellington is a perfectly seasonal and delicious indulgence, and our Squash Soup and Poached Pears round out and elevate the menu deliciously. You'll leave your class armed with a bevvy of pro tips and techniques and all set to recreate Kathryn's recipes on your own at home.

Join Owen Petersen, former head baker and owner of Prairie Mill Bread, for his popular Sourdough Basics class, co-taught with Kathryn Joel, Chef Owner of Get Cooking. Owen will guide you step by step, from feeding your starter to baking a beautiful loaf in a Dutch oven, and share creative ways to use starter discard. You’ll mix and shape your own loaf, and between folds learn recipes taught by Kathryn, including her sourdough panzanella and oven-roasted tomato soup, served with bread baked by Owen in class and freshly made herb butter from Kathryn. By the end of class, you’ll leave confident in your skills, with a jar of starter and a shaped loaf ready to bake at home.
