Lasagna is an all-time classic, and a winter comfort food favourite. But so often the result of your hard work in the kitchen is disappointing. Join Kathryn's virtual cooking class on how to make Bologna's beloved version of this Italian staple and we promise results that will wow your family and friends, and never underwhelm. You'll learn to make your own fresh pasta sheets that you'll blanche and layer them with our homemade 3-meat ragu and béchamel sauce, following the Bolognese style. We'll take a break while your Lasagna cooks then reconvene to toss together a fresh and delicious Italian Green Salad to serve on the side.

Ingredients, Lasagne Alla Bolognese: extra virgin olive oil, parmesan, fresh pasta (recipe included), bolognese sauce (recipe included), white sauce (recipe included), salad of your choice (leaf lettuce, radicchio, endive, arugula, cherry tomatoes dressed with Balsamic Vinaigrette)
Ingredients, Bolognese Sauce: extra-virgin olive oil, onion, celery, carrots, garlic, 1lb ground veal or beef, 1lb ground pork, 4oz pancetta or bacon, tomato paste, whole milk, dry white wine, thyme leaves
Ingredients, White Sauce (Besciamella): unsalted butter, all-purpose flour, whole milk, nutmeg
Ingredients, Fresh Pasta Whole Egg: "00" flour or all-purpose flour, eggs
Ingredients, Balsamic Dressing: aged balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, garlic, Dijon mustard, fresh herb (your choice of thyme, oregano, parsley...)
Specialty Equipment: 10x20 inch lasagna pan, pasta machine, large pot (dutch oven), digital weighing scale
