Join our dumpling expert Mai Nguyen and learn how to make your own homemade Wonton Soup, using the classic Chinese combination of Pork & Shrimp filled Wontons served in a Chicken Broth. You'll use store-bought square Wonton wrappers to fill and fold your dumplings, and season your Chicken Broth with dried shrimp, ginger and soy. Then you'll put it all together in a deliciously steaming hot bowl of Wontons in Broth together with some Baby Bok Choy for a beautifully balanced bowl full of goodness, to enjoy for your evening meal.

Ingredients, Wonton Soup: pork and shrimp wonton filling, broth, wonton wrappers (wonton wrappers. are square, not round), bok choy, green onions, thin egg noodles/Cantonese wonton noodles (optional), sesame oil
Ingredients, Wonton Filling: 1/2 lb ground pork, 1 cup shell-on shrimp peeled and deveined (shells will be used on broth), green onion, garlic, ginger, corn starch, sesame oil
Ingredients, Broth: chicken or pork broth, shrimp shells (optional), dried shrimp (optional), ginger, soy sauce, rice wine

You’ll prepare two types of filled pasta with sauces. Begin with Ravioli filled with winter squash, served with a deliciously aromatic parsley and walnut chopped sauce. Next, make Swiss Chard & Ricotta Tortelloni, served with a simple but flavourful brown butter and sage sauce. This class is an ideal complement to our Pasta Basics class and is suitable for vegetarians.
