It's December, which means it's party season. So it's time to pull out your favourite recipes for hors d'ouevres, and to discover some new ones as well. Join Mai Nguyen for her newest virtual cooking class on Fabulous Finger Foods and we guarantee you'll wow your guests while having fun in the kitchen too. Mai will walk you through three elegant party treats, starting with classic blinis that you can finish with your favourite toppings, from smoked salmon to caviar. You'll also make a batch of pastry to create two more delicious bites: Cheese Galettes; and Mixed Mushroom & Goat's Cheese Tarts. By the end of your class you'll have prepared a delicious dinner of small bites, plus you'll be equipped with an arsenal of new recipes for entertaining your friends and family this holiday season.

Ingredients, Yeasted Blinis: all-purpose flour, buckwheat flour, active dry yeast, milk, unsalted butter, eggs

Ingredients, Tomato Galettes: tomatoes, cheese (gruyere, cheddar, parmesan, Emmental, etc.), garlic, fresh thyme, extra virgin olive oil, parsley (optional), egg, milk

Ingredients, Pie Dough: unsalted butter, all-purpose flour

Ingredients, Mushroom Tarts: mushrooms (crimini, oyster, shimeji, etc.), shallots, garlic, oil, unsalted butter, fresh thyme, balsamic vinegar, whipping cream, eggs, goat cheese, chives

Join Kathryn Joel online and learn to make Arroz Negro, a Catalan version of Paella that's flavoured and coloured with Cuttlefish Ink. A variation on a typical Seafood Paella, the Cuttleish Ink (more commonly called Squid Ink) is stirred into the stock adding a black hue and distinctive flavour.
